Offset
The Offset section makes each instance diverge from the one before — giving the replicator shape, rotation, scale, and opacity variation across the arrangement.
Accumulation determines how offsets stack across instances: Cumulative adds each instance’s offset on top of the previous one’s, so the effect builds through the arrangement. Absolute applies the same offset to each instance globally.
CW and CCW flip the direction of the accumulation so the offset runs in reverse.
Shape Position shifts each instance’s X/Y position. Shape Rotation rotates each instance. Shape Scale scales each instance (X and Y linked by default). Shape Opacity fades each instance toward transparent.
Offset Falloff
Section titled “Offset Falloff”A global falloff that limits where the Offset values apply in space. Pick any Shape layer from the dropdown (it has to be in the same Comp) and the offset is fully applied inside the shape and falls off outside it. When you pick a falloff shape, its opacity auto-lowers to 25% so you can see the falloff region without it overwhelming the viewport.
Feather softens the falloff’s edge so the transition is gradual instead of hard.
Clip toggles whether instances outside the shape receive no offset at all (on) or still receive a reduced offset (off).
Invert flips the falloff so the offset applies outside the shape instead of inside.
