Noise

Adds random noise to the layer — film grain, TV static, or stylized texture. Every pixel gets a small random shift applied.

Amount controls the overall noise strength.

Hue, Lightness, Saturation, and Alpha independently control how much noise is applied to each channel. The default is lightness-only noise — the classic grain look. Raise the others to add color or opacity variation.

Alpha Threshold protects transparent pixels from getting noise — useful when you want grain only on visible content, especially on blurred/soft layers. Dial this up together with Alpha to get rid of softening and introduce a grain/noise falloff on layers that have a Glow or Blur.

Size scales the grain larger or smaller.

Phase shifts the random pattern — keyframe it to animate the grain.

Type picks the noise character — Uniform, Soft, or Grain (default).
