Viewport

The viewport is where your composition lives. Layers render as shapes in the comp; selecting a layer reveals transform handles you can drag.

Hold Space and drag to pan. Press ⌘= to zoom in, ⌘− to zoom out (or scroll the mouse), or ⇧/ to fit the composition back into view.

When you pick up a different tool from the toolbar, the cursor changes — so you always know whether clicking will select, rotate, move the anchor, or draw a shape.
