Layout Modes
The Mode dropdown in the Layout section picks how instances are arranged.
Grid — arranges instances in rows and columns. Count sets rows × columns (linked by default). Size sets the spacing between instances. Pattern Offset staggers alternating rows and columns for brick-like patterns.
Linear — arranges instances along a single line. Count sets how many, Size sets spacing, Direction sets the line’s angle in degrees.
Both Grid and Linear have a Size Mode toggle: Step treats Size as spacing between instances; Fit treats it as the total dimensions of the arrangement, with instances packed to fit. Both also have X Direction and Y Direction toggles that flip which corner the arrangement fills from.
Radial — arranges instances in a circle. Count sets how many instances, Radius sets the distance from center, Start Angle and End Angle determine how far the instances travel along the circle, and Offset shifts all instances around the circle. Auto-Orient rotates each instance to face outward from the center. Direction flips between CW and CCW.
Radial supports multiple Rings — increase Rings to add more concentric rings. Ring Spacing sets the radial distance between rings, Ring Spread expands each ring’s scale, Ring Rotation rotates each ring independently, and Ring Angle Offset shifts each ring’s start angle.
