Viewport Settings
To open up the Viewport Settings, click the screen icon on the bottom right of the comp window.
Three display toggles that control how the viewport looks while you work. Nothing here affects what renders on export — these are your personal preferences.
- Comp border outlines the composition rectangle.
- World grid overlays a coordinate grid across the scene.
- Render layers outside comp controls what you see past the composition edge. Off (the default) dims out-of-bounds content to a mask so you can focus on what will actually render; on shows it through fully.
