File Format (.plate)

A .plate file is the project — layers, keyframes, effects, replicators, all in one file. Move it between machines and the project comes back together the same way. Videos and images are not stored in this file; the .plate file points to where they live on your computer.

The format is versioned and evolves with the app. Newer builds open older .plate files; files saved by a future build may not load in an older one.
