Supported Formats

Plate currently exports MP4 video using the H.264 codec — a universally compatible format that plays in browsers, video editors, and on every social platform.

Tune the file size with the Quality setting in Export Settings — higher bitrate means a larger file with cleaner motion and finer detail.

A full FFmpeg-based export pipeline is on the way. Expect support for ProRes, GIF, image sequences, WebM, alpha-channel exports, and more.
