Interface Overview

Plate’s workspace is currently built around three panels: the viewport in the center, the properties panel alongside it, and the timeline along the bottom. A floating toolbar sits at the top of the viewport. More features and panels will be added in the future.

The viewport is where you create, select, and move layers. The properties panel shows the settings of whatever’s selected in the viewport and timeline. The timeline stacks every layer’s bar and keyframes along a common time axis.

Panels can be freely resized, hidden, and rearranged from the Window menu. Your layout persists and is automatically saved between sessions.
